We had another fabulous beginner trip to Catalina State Park last weekend and for this one, the weather was perfect. Last year was exceptionally hot, but this year made up for it. We had a fantastic group and a great time.
I had chance to to photograph everyone with their bicycles, so we’re kicking off our Rigs & Riders which we’re planning on keeping going on future Campfire rides as well. Kicking this off with a beginner ride really expresses what Rigs and Riders will be all about, sharing with other bikepackers all the interesting ways people setup their bikes. For a beginner ride like Campfire to Catalina State Park any style of bicycle can make it happen. We had the full spectrum of gravel, mountain and road bikes and even had a fat bike thrown in for good measure. Scroll on below for some inspiring setups!
