Adventure Medical Kits

Bikepacking routes can be dark and full of terrors—or, at least, sunburns, bruises, biting bugs, and ankle-twisting potholes. When such medical emergencies arise, there’s nothing wrong with relying on personally-assembled odds and ends from the supermarket’s pharmacy aisle, but we think that a purpose-built, pre-stocked firstaid kit will go a long way in keeping you ready and prepared on your bikepacking trip. What we love about the first aid kits from Adventure Medical Kits is the unique layout of clearly-labelled pockets that allows you to find what you want quickly and easily.

The Backpacker Kit is stocked with enough items to address common first aid needs of two to four people who are planning to be out for up to four days and even includes a handbook to wilderness first aid for reference purposes. The kits have the  essentials needed to treat everything from small/basic wound care, treating burns & blisters, cuts & scrapes, medication, and supplies to help stop bleeding fast. Another bonus that we appreciate is that the kits have a little room to add a few of your own items.

While bikepacking isn’t dangerous per se, it often requires us doing a lot of tasks that we normally don’t do such as chopping wood, stoking a fire or navigating tough terrain. If you end up really needing a first aid kit, you’ll be glad you brought a complete kit.
