The Elkhorn is Old Man Mountain’s newest rack, designed with a more minimalist approach to the ultralight needs of bikepacking.

The Elkhorn can work as a front or rear rack. Here we show the Elkhorn with all of the fit kits options which allow for rear mounting of this rack.

1. In Step 1, choose the short or tall Elkhorn.
2. In Step 2, choose the Fit Kit for your bicycle’s rear wheel.

**Please Note: A Fit Kit is not required for mounting the Elkhorn to rigid bicycle frames with upper and lower eyelets.

For configuring your Old Man Mountain Elkhorn as your rear rack, begin by selecting the short or tall Elkhorn. In step 2, if required, please add the Front Fit Kit to fit your bicycle's fork.

This sturdy rack can be mounted to any style of bicycle fork, including suspension forks.

In the rear position, the Elkhorn is great for a variety of bikepacking configuration. The top platform is perfect for strapping down loaded dry bags or mounting racktop bags. The support arms allow for a variety of cage systems such as the anything cage. Another great setup is to use Problem Solver Bow Ties and Voile Straps for mounting waterbottles and small stuff sacks.

Select the Rear Fit Kit to mount your Elkhorn to your bicycle's fork.
Use the Fit Kit Finder to determine which fit kit is needed for your bicycle, if any.

All Fit Kits include the following for lower mounting:

A specialty through axle.
A pair of Divide Dropouts. (Included but not used for mounting your Elkhorn)

All Fit Kits include the following upper mounting hardware:

A pair of pucks.
Clear protective tape.
Stainless steel mounting hardware.

(This hardwares serves as the upper rack mounting eyelets for bicycle frames that don't come with eyelets.)

**For bicycle frames that come ready with upper and lower rack eyelets, there is no need for a rear fit kit. Proceed to Step 3. Review & Purchase without a rear Fit Kit option.
