Reclaiming San Francisco's Streets

San Francisco is the second densest city in the United States, second only to New York City. To that end, they have to be very creative with their use of space, as they really don’t have any options for growing out. This limitation has lead to some incredible creativity in terms of the use of public space. Perhaps my favorite is the parklet, which is a small park that takes up a few city parking spots and offers public space on the street for chatting, eating, and people watching. There are other great innovations, as well, so check out this video from Streetfilms to learn more.
