Mixed Thoughts

On one hand, I really like using these cages and bags. They're extremely well-made. They offer a terrific option for balancing the weight of your gear on the bike. And the bags themselves are a really good size for carrying your cook kit, clothes, and a handful of miscellaneous other things on a short trip. On the other hand, I'm not sure they're worth the time investment required to put them on and take them off before and after each trip, as they aren't the sort of thing I like having on my bike when I'm not bike-camping. I feel like a front rack would be more versatile and I'd be more inclined to leave it on the bike most of the time. So the issue really boils down to one's riding style, intended uses, and personal preference. There is no question whatsoever that the cages and bags are an excellent piece of gear.

Salsa EXP Cage HD

The anything cages work well. I have them mounted on the Wren inverted suspension forks. The fork mounts I use that hold the cages are the Tailfin Cage Mounts. The folks there at Campfire Cycling are awesome! They also included a small little red sticker in the box that I put on my waterbottle.
