Arkel Wide Rails Adapter

Use this adapter to mount the Randonneur Rack, Seatpacker hanger or Rollpacker rear hanger to seats with wide rails (more than 3.5 inches or 89 mm apart).

NOTE: This adaptor is not compatible with saddles equipped with coil springs.

NOTE:

*Minimum clearance required between the seat rails and the top of the bicycle seat tube is 4 inches (10cm) for the short setup and 7 inches (18 cm) for the long setup.

*If the seat rails of your saddle are more than 3.5 inches (89mm) apart, you will need the wide rails adapter available in our accessories.

They Said it Couldn't be Done

As I converted to a carbon fiber frame (2024 Trek Domane SL5) the experts said I couldn't mount a rack on the back. True, except for this one, designed to shift the weight to the titanium seat rails. It carries the few items easier to mount on a rack than in a seat bag (as an aging rider I like to swap my cycling shoes for slides at the rest stops). This product is brilliantly designed for the purpose, and nicely crafted. Order and delivery were handled well by the retailer. Consider me a happy camper.
