ETSY is an online marketplace for craftsmen (and women) that seeks to “empower people to change the way the global economy works” (from their About page). The whole idea behind ETSY is to enable small businesses to help shape the larger economy and emphasize human-scaled approaches. Plus, they sell some really cool stuff. They are socially conscious and progressive, so it comes as little surprise that their employees use cargo bikes to haul compostable materials to a community garden in Brooklyn, NY.
