Warranty

Warranty Coverage

  • All Teravail products are protected by a 24-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date.

Handmade Product Considerations

  • Teravail tires are handmade, so slight variations, such as minor side-to-side wobble in the tread when new, are normal and not considered defects.

What’s Not Covered

  • The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including tread wear, flat tires, cuts, or tears from road or trail debris, as tires and tubes are considered consumable goods.

  1. Purchase Location: If you bought your Teravail product from a local bike shop or online retailer, you can either handle the claim through them or directly with Teravail.

Good durable wide tires for full desert conditions.

I've now put about 200 miles on the Oxbows on varied terrain, 6 different rides, half of the miles were touring so bike+me=250 lbs. The tires arrived in slightly less time than expected, thanks Campfire! I unwrapped them and gave them a couple days to take their normal shape. Mounting them on Velocity 40mm Dually's went pretty straight forward, I would say around average ease of difficulty for tubeless. Typical rides included 1/3 pavement, 2/3 dirt roads of mixed conditions. The knobs form a smooth raised surface for rolling on pavement when pumped up to 35psi. On dirt I let pressure out to 20-25 psi and they road nice and smooth and hooked up well on firm dirt roads. About 30 of the miles were on chunky desert limestone including baby head sections. There it was nice to have the 3in width, big knobs, and black durable casing to easy my concerns of traction and of sharp rock punctures. In fact, I had no punctures in the 200 miles ridden thus far. I also rode about 20 miles of pretty loose sand/silt. There again, I was pleased with the width and knobs for this terrain. I only walked one section which had 6in deep loose sand and was about 4-5% grade uphill, where probably a fat bike would be needed to ride through. These tires replaced my Schwalbe Rocket Rons, which I also liked. The Oxbows are clearly a substantially tougher tire than the RRs, but they weight about 200g more so you would expect that. The two tires are priced similarly, but I speculate I'll get more mileage out of the Oxbows.
