Overview

Man your stations, because the tire wizards at Teravail just hurled a cannonball at us! The Teravail Cannonball is a tire that was engineered with North-American gravel race terrain in mind. Teravail promises that the Cannonball will be able to tackle any “coarse gravel” routes that your wheels encounter.

The Teravail Cannonball comes in either 700c or 650b sizes, in tan or black colors and 38mm, 42mm, and 47mm width options. Reinforced by a woven polymer composite layer between the outer rubber and the inner casing, the Cannonball will be able to hold its own against the usual puncture-causing agents. The Cannonball’s tread pattern is a packed, directional center tread in a sloping V-shaped pattern between a more widely-spaced series of small knobs, with prominent L-shaped knobs completing the shoulder tread. This pattern is identical to the wider 2.1/2.2” Sparwood and is ideal for when the going gets loose.

The Teravail Cannonball is not just another gravel racing all-rounder contender. In a market where multi-terrain tires are becoming increasingly common, Terravail has introduced a tire that stands out from the rest of the pack. Little wonder that these were the official tires of the 2015 Dirty Kanza, an epic 200 mile that tests the mettle of any gravel tire.

Great tire

I got these tires for my older Surly Disk Trucker and I’m loving them. They roll great on pavement, and are great in the corners on the loose stuff. Super smooth ride.
