Commuters and bike tourists for whom versatility, durability and repairability are more important than weight, this is your front rack.

Adjusts to fit from 26″ to 29″ wheel wheel with or without fenders, including all Surly forks except the Pugsley fork and Moonlander forks (due to the offset of the Pugsley fork driveside blade and the width of the Moonlander fork).

The main body of is made of tubular CroMoly steel. In the rare instance that this rack breaks, you should be able to find, even in the most remote regions of planet Earth, somebody to TIG, MIG, stickweld, braze or solder this rack back together. An aluminum rack won’t afford you the same luxury.

The stock rack and hardware is designed to fit front racks mount to forks with mid-blade eyelets – about 165mm from the dropout. Most quality touring forks have these. Additional hardware maybe needed to accommodate other forks.

Perfect rack

I was leery of the weight that people had complained about, but it's not that noticeable to me and worth the ability to front-load my Space Horse. Solid construction and easy instructions!

Worlds best Front Rack

I give the rack a 5/5. I was hesitant regarding the cost and then lost money on a lesser front rack. If your looking for a solid front rack this is it. I thought it might be too large but its just right.

A Retro fit to Surly Nice Front Rack.

Surly front rack looks great, but not yet installed to our road bike. We will additionally retro fit a brace from the rack to the front brake mount. We are thinking to adapt a stock brace commonly made to connect a rear rack to the rear brake mount bolt. Any suggestions as to the what, where, & how of that brace will be appreciated. Our Recent Review of Campfire/Josh was & still is only five (5) stars only because the rating system does not facilitate ten (10). stars.

Nice rack, but had to mod for disc brakes

I had to make an adaptor to work around the disc brakes. Wish they had a few more parts that would have made that easier.
