Overview

The Pumpkin Ridge tire is inspired by the Pumpkin Ridge: a quiet, paved, road near Portland, Oregon in the Cascade Mountains with a number of promising dirt spurs heading toward the Tualatin Mountains. What that terrain offers is winding pavements and abrupt muddy spots that can really bog you down, leaving you looking like you’ve been dipped in chocolate.

The Pumpkin Ridge is available in a 650b x 42 mm size, allowing you to benefit from the extra volume afforded by a wider tire. Offered in just the standard casing which strikes a balance between affordability, comfort and speed without compromising on durability, the pumpkin ridge weighs just 480g. A dual-purpose tire at heart, the Pumpkin Ridge offers excellent performance and cornering on paved roads, and retains excellent grip when it gets slippery thanks to its large and well-distributed knobs.

These may not be the halloween-themed tires one imagines when you hear the name, but they are excellent winter tires that can help you ride through both sloppy mud and pavement equally well. Whether on a muddy cyclocross course or during a paved descent with ultra-fast hairpin turns, the Pumpkin Ridge is the tire for the job.
