USWhen I ran into this "Ortlieb" cable mounting system years ago I didn't have much initial faith in it, however after years of riding with it I've come to actually like this system. It has never failed me and the handlebar bag has always stayed in the position I installed it in. But, sometimes when changing handlebars or any kind of change that involving removing it, it pays to have a new one. Usually from tightening the lower allen stops the plastic casing of the cable becomes frayed and the cable becomes exposed (from over tightening the stops, my bad). I'm glad that "Campfire Cycling" stocks this spare cable and sure hope they continue to do so.
USThis black cable is much better than the thick gray cable. It is easier to wrap around the handlebar and stem. I highly recommend it for Ortlieb handlebar bags. I also appreciate Campfire Cycling for carrying this hard to find item.
USThis cable is FAR superior to the light gray cable that comes with the “new and improved” Ortlieb handlebar bag attachment bracket.
